What is Power BI?

Power BI is a collection of software services that provide Data Visualization and Business Intelligence tools with an easy to use interface.
The services include:

• Power BI Desktop a windows application
• Power BI Service a saas service for report sharing and publishing
• Power BI Mobile apps for Windows, Andriod, and IOS that allow you to view and interact with report on a mobile device.

It was created as a compliment to Microsofts SQL Server Reporting Services. Power BI can easily intergrate with Microsoft Excel so users can quickly load data without transfer to a database. Users can quickly create great looking dashboards in less time than using traditional BI tools such as SSRS.
